Has anyone had problems with their car overheating after their A/C has been fixed?

Asked by Katford Aug 25, 2014 at 03:49 PM about the 2003 Ford Focus ZX3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So, I haven't been using my A/C a a year or so, but since it's hot this year I've decided to
send it to the shop to fix my A/C. They tested out for a bit to show me that the A/C
works, but when I drove it to the freeway, my car started to overheat. I open the hood,
and my coolant was leaking. Has anyone had the same experience as I have? Is there
anything else I should check? My car was working fine all this time till I decided to fix my
A/C, and now it doesn't want to work at all!

I don't have that issue but when I shift from 3 rd to 4th and then 4th to 5th my 2006 5 speed dies down and the ac gets warm and then it goes back to normal after about 10 seconds. Any ideas for this one
