Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1988 buick riviera i bought
off a family friend it only has 132xxx
miles on it, my low oil pressure light
came on and my dad told me to just
keep adding oil (wrong as hell) my oil
(5w-30) was over 2 quarts and
caused a bad oil leak so i got an oil
change from firestone i dont think the
put the oil filter on correctly because
i have a small leak now comming
from the filter, and the oil looks thin?
I went from a car that can travel 5 hrs
to being woried about my car 20
minutes of travel can anyone tell me
of the cost i would be looking at as
well as the damage?

was synthetic used? the seals will not hold it. it was designed for regular oil.

I got an oil change and swaped out my oil pressure switch it stopped leaking, another question can you put a super charged engine into a 88 riviera i heard of a buick reatta swap just wondering?

if you did , you need the transmission too. it needs to handle that power.
