I just bought an 87 Cadillac Allante convertible hardtop in
a soft top of the pull-down doesn't work all the sudden
the passenger side will not unlock ur open and I cannot
get the windows down what could have happened within
the last 48 hours

a mechanical problem takes only a second- that is a very cool car, originally made for millionaires- enjoy it, but treat it like money is no object- you will have other problems like this, so find a good classic car mechanic, and don't let the problems pile up
If you live in the Northeast, you can try contacting John Monzo at - itsonlyluv@comcast.net and he will tell you exactly how to fix it. He runs an Allante specific repair shop. Another great source for parts is Dick Hussey at allantesource@prodigy.net . Pull down motors do fail and Dick has the parts. If you ever have occasion to visit his shop - he has enough parts to build a dozen cars.
