What color was the 1965 Ford Mustang's steering wheel if the interior was red?

I need the color of the steering wheel when exterior paint was white interior was red. Does it have wooden cross members?

Hi Suzie, The specifics on the standard steering wheel just doesn't seem to be out there. What I did was go back and look at old pictures of 1965 Mustangs fastbacks to see what color the steering wheel was (i stuck to white ext and red int.) I found that the car had both. It probably means that the wooden steering wheel was an option on the car and the color coded steering wheel was standard. If I come across the specifics at some point in the future I will be sure to keep you updated.

Mine was red like the rest of the interior. If the car had the GT package, the wheel would been wood.
