What is causing my car to get hot? The radiator cap and bottom hose remain cold but the top hose is hot

Thermostat is stuck, the radiator and/or heater core are plugged.

I just replaced the thermostat. How can I fix the heater core?
If you just replaced it did you properly burp the air pockets out of the cooling system?
Heater core and radiator have to be flushed out.
