The car will start and idle for a few seconds and then die if you hit the gas it won't even start
The more you turn the key on and off with out starting it the longer it will run
sounds like either a bad fuel pump or a cloged fuel filter. But i would start with the airways up front first. Check your air filter and MAF (mass air flow sensor) and make sure its not dirty. then check to make sure all your plugs are good but im preaty sure this sounds fuel related so my first two suggests would be the place to start and the fuel filter is the cheapest thing to replace first and may solve your issue.
