always refer to the owners manual for that question. Or call the parts department at Toyota they're usually very helpful. please mark answer as helpful and best to help my reputation please thank you
It depends on the temperature/climate where you live- for cold climates use thinner oil- 10W30- for hot climates go thicker- 10W40 or, if you have a lot of miles on the engine, 20W50-
Owners manual calls for strictly 0W20
0W20, only use what the manual says. FordNut is correct.
but isnt 20 too thin for a model that already has a oil burning problem after 100k?
I always Use 0W20 as the owners manual recommends. However my 2013 Camry has only 45,000 miles. I also use only full synthetic. If your Toyota has 100K and it already burns oil you should definitely consult your Toyota dealer or call the Toyota helpline.
