I have a 1985 caprice all lights work except for brake lights checked bulbs fuses and put on a new brake switch still don't have brake lights what do I need to check next

I'm not very familiar with Chevys, but check behind the brake-pedal. There, you should find a switch. That probably went bad. Replace it and they should work fine.

check the system with a meter 2 c if u have a short
