Asked by Windsor420 Apr 17, 2018 at 06:05 AM about the 1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car runs like a top as long as you stay in
the primarys. But when I stab it and want the
secondary set to open, it floods out. What's
causing that???

you can change the metering valves for the secondaries to smaller ones or adjust (retard) the linkages , that''s an old carb one of the vacuum ports maybe clogged up a bit , I don't think you drive around like an old man but heat soak can cause it too
