got a good 4.3 . instead of a v8 and all the problems , how about using the4.3

You have to do the same amount of work to put a 4.3 in that you would need for a v8 swap. You can't even use your old trans. You need a 3.1, 3.4, or 3.8 if you want a drop in upgrade.
