Question type: Maintenance & Repair

85 Chrysler Lebaron 2.2 Turbo convertible.  The battery feed wire coming
out of my 40 pin bulkhead is reading that there is a short somewhere in the
system. With the battery, power module,  starter, alternator, and power seat
motor disconnected,  the positive battery  feed wire continues to show a
major short.
WHAT ELSE CAN BE THE CAUSE OF THIS SHORT???
I have ruled out:
Alternator, Starter, seat motor, (ECM  UNDER THE HOOD), and battery.
(all currently disconnected)

A bare wire touching something metal somewhere. If you have a fuse that is blown check that circuit first. Hope that helps! Jim

A short can be anywhere. Narrow it down, circuit by circuit.

where is the starter relay located? Could the digital fuel pump be the cause of this?
