Brake lights don't come on & can't get it out of park

I had to put on a new wiring harness. After I
got it the brake lights won't come on & can't
get it out of park. I did replace the brake light
senor & still nothing

    start car, press brake, fasten seat belt, press button shifter and the car will not come out of park. Break lights work not sure were to look for problem.
