We found a truck advertised as a 4X4 but the salesman told us it's AWD. Doesn't it have to be one or the other? It's advertised as "4WD 4dr Laredo"

4x4 and AWD get intertwined most times, but what it makes it more confusing on your vehicle is Jeep offered two systems. Active Drive I and II. Active Drive I is a light duty 4WD , more like an AWD on other vehicles for snow and rain. Active Duty II has low range gearing if you want to do some real off-roading. So check with your sales rep on what option the Jeep you are looking at has. I suspect Active Drive I.
