Patriot headlights

Asked by TeamGarcia1 May 09, 2015 at 06:08 PM about the 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport

Question type: General

I asked if I could stop my courtesy headlights from coming on after I turn the motor off and
was told to check page 168-170 in the manual. I did and its not there. The courtesy lights
come on when you turn off the key, lock the door and unlock the doors. I would like to stop
that feature. Is it possible?

There seems to be confusion on which manual. Copied and pasted:" Automatic Headlights — If Equipped This system automatically turns the headlights on or off according to ambient light levels. To turn the system on, turn the end of the multifunction lever to the AUTO position (third detent). When the system is on, the Headlight Time Delay feature is also on. This means the headlights will stay on for up to 90 seconds after you turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. To turn the Automatic System off, turn the end of the multifunction lever out of the AUTO position." End Paste. The question is if you have auto-dusk sensing headlights
