Should I buy the car with lower millage or lower price?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I'm going to buy a CPO Cadillac ELR 2014. I've checked two cars, one of them
has 42k miles on it and priced at 28k, the other one has 20k miles and priced at
31k. Which one do you think is a better deal? I'm thinking that I might end up
paying the price difference in maintenance over the next few years.
The cheaper car has an upgraded interior and better color, so I like that one more,
but is 42k miles considered too much?

Neither car is high miles. I would try to get the 20k mile car for less. Offer them 28k!
Think of it this way, 22,000 miles is probably a year or two of driving for most people. It may not matter much now but add another 70,000 miles to the cars and one will have 90k and the other 112k miles.
It's a Cadillac. ..get the one you love looking at & driving ..only answer that truly matters ♡~♡
I'm in the process of buying a 2014 Cadillac ELR with Luxury Package, Adaptive Cruise, and Kona Brown Leather Seats. MSRP 4 years ago was $82,125. Ask is $22,900. Why? 73K Miles. As a twice retired Military and Civilian Pilot the MOST important facts influencing my decision to buy a High Mileage ELR are 3 things. 1. Ownership History. This car was Cadillac Corporate Owned/Leased. 2. Service History. The car has a detailed and drama free Cadillac Service History with all services performed. Accident/Incident Free. New Bridgestone Potenza skins and fresh Caddy Oil and Filter, Air Filter, and Cabin Filter. 3. Li Ion Battery Health. With a Full Charge the EV is showing 41 miles. That's a very good sign. 112mpg Lifetime indicates majority of the driving in EV Mode. Excellent. So, when you have flown Helicopters and Airplanes with tens of thousands of hours that are 30-60 years old you don't focus on how new something is, rather how well has it been taken care of and whether or not it is Airworthy. I'm with Dawn though...Get the one you love looking at and driving and Service it iaw the Cadillac Owners Manual and be happy. After all, the Cadillac Hybrid Powertrain Warranty is 8 years and 100,000 miles. Sleep Well... JP
