What would cause my car to loose oil but it’s not leaking anywhere. Any suggestions? I’ve only put 1200 miles since oil change.

Burning oil? Are you sure it was topped off at the last oil change?
Positive. I haven’t had this issue til recently. I bought the car brand new
Im following this thread. I have a 2010 Forte that has been really good to me, but yesterday my car started making a weird grinding noise and smelling strange, and I discovered I had no oil. I had my oil changed and transmission flushed 2 months ago, by a very reputable mechanic shop that I’ve used several times in the past, so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it? It’s weird that they didn’t see any indications of a leak 2 months ago and now my car is bone dry.
Same thing is happening to my girlfriend's 2015 kia forte. Just had the oil changed ~800 miles ago and now theres no oil in it.... no leaks either... mechanic said that the car is just using it up and exhausting it. I call BS, there's something wrong.
I have a 2014 forte that is losing about a quart of oil weekly. No sign of any leak. No weird noises. Any clue what's going on?
Similar Problem with 2015 KIA Forte5. All was well until about 65K and now burning oil to tune of about 1.5 Quarts between oil changes. KIA dealership has case with KIA district manager for a Goodwill Repair. Will see where it goes.

I have a 2016 Kia Forte and I am having the same exact issue. Car is burning through oil long before oil change is due. No leaks. Now I have to check my oil monthly. I’m using high mileage oil now. Not sure if maybe that’s the difference and I should go back to regular oil. Sad that I’m not the only one. Wish we had answers
New to thread, but my 2015 Forte started doing the same thing over the last few months. No leaks, not signs of burning "blue smoke" and losing about 1qt every 1000-1500miles. Anyone find a cause/solution to this? Going to replace the PCV, easy and cheap, test.
I’m having to put a quart of oil in my 2014 Kia Forte about every two weeks. There is no leaks or burning smell, the car just guzzles oil. I’ve switched to the high mileage oil but it still burns down at the same rate..

I’m getting a new engine. My Kia Forte burned 2.5 quarts of oil in one month. For no reason they could find. The engine died while driving the Monday before thanksgiving. Then when we tried to start it started smoking. It’s still at the dealership. But Kia is going to recall 295,000 cars in January. We also have a 2015 Kia Forte. This issue began over a year ago & had a catalytic converter repair. The issue started again in March as Covid began. Took in June & the oil was empty after 2500 miles. Was put on an oil consumption test every 1000 four times. The fuel pump was replaced which did not solve the problen. The testing started over so onto the 6th test (10th overall) & they say probably the catalytic converter again. 10K+ miles withour being solved. Tired of this & they know it's unsafe. Have had to put the hazard lights on since the rpm goes up past 2 and won't accelerate faster.

Check on recall info. I got a recall notice on 1/20/2021 for my 2015 kia forte regarding engine oil or gas leak. If it is occurring the engine needs to be replaced.
Mine went in for the recall to check the rod clearance and everything was supposedly good. We asked if we got under the car could we see that the oil pan was removed but they said they don’t go thru the oil pan they check through the spark plug hole

I am having same problem with oil consumption, noise with acceleration, slow acceleration. At 106,000 miles, 2015 Kia Forte. Took car in for recall testing and they said my car passed test. So I spent $140 on diagnostic testing. They tell me my cat converter is bad and quote me $2900. Take it to another mechanic, who denies that cat is bad and feels it is engine related. Very frustrating, guess I’ll just keep driving it and see what happens next!!
With it burning oil I can only guess it can clog the cat converter. It’s going somewhere. I have same issue, at night with a car lights behind me on I floor the car and see the cloud of soot coming out exhaust. It’s faint during day easier to see it at night. So yea we’re all messing up our catalytic converter. Kia just giving you the run around.

I am an owner of a 2014 Kia Forte5 with 104,000 miles. Since January 2021 the car is using 4 Qts of oil every 3,000 miles. Originally the car engine was knocking but running fine. The check engine or oil light did not come on. In March 2021 my car passed the SC200 service recall since no fuel or oil leaks were found by the Kia dealership.I faithfully had the oil changed every 5,000 miles as Kia recommended and had no problems with the car until this year. At the last visit to the dealership I was told I need a new car, there is nothing they can do, I am out of warranty...
