Can you put a 1.6L engine into a 2014 Kia Soul that originally had a 2.OL engine?

Are there any other engines you can replace the 2014 2.0L Kia Soul engine
with?

You really, really want to install the exact same engine that you have now. Anything else will be nothing but headaches and it won't pass smog inspection.

I can not find a 2.0L engine anywhere, but there seems to be a plethora of 1.6L. We don't have smog inspection in Ohio. I'm just wondering if it's possible to convert in to a 1.6L, same year, make & model.

Will a 2011 2.0 liter Kia Soul engine work in place of a 2014 2.0 liter Kia Soul place

Do I have to put in the same engine if I’m trading the car in? It is a Kia 2014 2.0.

If you have a 2014 kia soul I would suggest getting rid of it immediately they have non stop recalls motors are junk as soon as mine hit 100k the motor blew for absolutely no reason I was driving no dummy lights not overheating no weird sounds from it at all regular oil changes fluids checked in it every two weeks... My car I've had for 6 months is now sitting at a shop they say motor is blown in it going to cost me 2 to 3 thousand to get it fixed! Over priced JUNK! And every mechanic I have talked to said "they're junk" or "we don't work on kias because they're such a pain in the butt" I'm telling you don't waste your money putting a motor in it..trade it in or buy something else.. not worth it!
