Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My right yellow lights on the rear and right mirror stay on even after the car is
turned off, and while running. Any idea what I might do to change this?

check wires, might have a loose wire touching ground (car body ie: fender)

The brake module for my trailer failed and needed to be replaced

It was the plug in for the trailer hookup
Thanks I have a 2015 Kia Sorrento which is the Sister to the Hyundai The Curtis trailer was some how drawing power I pulled the fuse and the mirror light and tail light went out. I think there is an issue with the module on the Curtis harness
You guys saved me some cash. I was having same problem. I had a corroded plug for my hitch lights. Pulled the inline fuse and lights went back to normal. The Curtis hitch was my only after market part on the car
My Curt trailer light module had gone bad and was causing my left tail light not to work. Disconnected it about a year ago and this weekend replaced the fuse in it and it didn't fix the issue so I disconnected it again. So today I noticed the right turn indicator was staying on now remember the Curt trailer unit is disconnected. Pulled the fuse out of it and now the turn signal works fine . I'm puzzled, its all disconnected but the fuse was making the turn signal stay on. any body have any idea how/why?
Problem solved.. Discovered this thread while searching for the cause of my right mirror turn signal and rear right turn signal lamps turned on steady. Pulled the fuse and the issue went away. Reinserted the fuse and no problems, for now, lol. Thanks

Rob - Where is the fuse and what is it labeled as?
The fuse mentioned it found inline at the trailer light controller module that is plugged into the trailer package wiring connectors under the car behind the driver's side tire. Based on the corrosion I see around the module, I will be replacing the module in the spring. The location is exposed and subject to road grime and moisture.
My elderly neighbor has a Hyundai Santa Fe. Her right rear directional and right mirror directional remained on with power off. After reading this thread, I looked and found she had an aftermarket trailer hitch (U Haul). The controller was very warm. Pulled the circuit breaker wired in line, and the lights went out, and functioned normally with power on.
