Right Signal light won't blink or turn off - even when car is turned off.

Asked by MarthaMinder Mar 09, 2017 at 09:20 AM about the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L SE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The right signal light is permanently on  - even when the car is turned off. The
right signal light in the dashboard is solid orange and the switch doesn't affect
it at all. The left signal works. The four way flashers don't work.

Sounds like the flasher unit in the fuse panel or a relay has gone bad. They are cheap enough to replace as opposed to tracing wires to find the problem.

My 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe has similar issues. Turn signals blink fast at the dash, front signals work fine. I the two outside (fender mounted signals work but the two rear door signals do not work. Originally just one rear door signal did not work. Now both. Bulbs are good (new), sockets clean and making contact. Not sure what to try next?
