AutoTransmission only shifts when starting
out in 2nd only when it gets up to speed to
go into drive and overdrive , the overdrive off
light keeps blinking , need help!!!

Transmission is toast, best bet for your money would be to find one out of a salvage yard.

I have owned several ford explorers. An they done the same thing. I would have to put them in 2 gear an get up to speed an then it would shift into drive. All Fords are bad for that. The problem was, the synchronizer!
