It's single barrel carburetor in line 6

Your accelerator pump may not be working properly. I would rebuild the carb and do a tuneup - plugs, wires, cap and rotor, check timing etc. Change the fuel filter too.

Full_of_Regrets sounds right on target. Then again fuel delivery and vacuum system as well as the engine ignition can cause those problems. If Full_of_Regrets answer does not help You maybe You can give us more symptoms to your problem, and we can learn together something new.
