Cranks but won't fire.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1986 ford f150 with the
4.9 liter inline 6. I have ran into
an issue and can't seem to
figure it out. It will start and run
fine as long as it isn't damp or
running outside, if it is damp or
running I have to continue to
crank on it until it floods the
carburetor. Then after allowing
it to sit for several hours and
jumping it off with another car it
might start, any help would be
appreciated. I have changed the
plugs, wires, and the distributor
cap , and coil thinking they were
drawing moisture but it still
didn't resolve my issue.
