1987 ford f-150 will not turn over

When I put the key in it will not even
try to start, I have a new distributor
new battery cables new battery new
spark plugs and wires, I don't know
what could be causing this

not turn over as in Not do anything at all. Or the starter will "turn" the engine over but it wont run?

ya, starter, battery, solenoid, battery cables, or ign switch.

Check to make sure you have voltage going to the solenoid bolted on the firewall near the battery. Then check voltage from solenoid to starter while someone holds the key to start. Somewhere between the battery, solenoid, and starter you may not be getting voltage. If voltage is present at the starter, the starter may be bad.
