Truck won't stay running

Asked by Modus_4671 Jan 13, 2015 at 12:50 PM about the 1987 Ford F-150 XL Standard Cab SB

Question type: General

I have a 1987 ford f150 5.0L recently
I had to jack the motor up and
change the oil pump ever since then
the truck won't stay running no
longer than a minute. It'll crank up
and after a few seconds the motor
starts to shake and just die. After that
you have to wait a couple minutes to
start it again but it does the same
thing. I've already replaced the fuel
pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark
plug wires, distributor cap and rotor
button, and the TPS. I don't know
what else to do someone please help

Also, you should check for codes that the PCM has stored.
