i have a 1988 ford f 150 with a v6 engine. It
runs fine in cool weather but when its hot

does it run hot or does the gauge read normal when it's hot outside ?, the engine doesn't really care is it's nice out it should reach an operating temp. and stay there , do you smell gas when it stalls ?
I smell gas when it stalls and 20 or 30 minutes later it will start and run again .

change the fuel regulator or first tap the schrader valve when it won't start and see if relieving the pressure on the fuel rail helps , don't start any fires on a hot manifold
