Truck stalls

My ford truck stalled the other day when I punched
it. The dials went crazy and I let off, put it in park,
then back in drive and it didn’t want to move. It
finally moved and I went back to my house slowly.
Every time I would punch it it stalled out it didn’t
shut off but just cut out the power. I changed the
fuel filter which was very dirty but it still is doing it.
Any suggestions on what it could be? I am lost.
