The possibilities are all over the place when it comes to these types of issues. If there are no idiot lights, best you have it checked out by a mechanic with a live data recorder attached to the OBD system. You may be charged a hundred bucks or so for the diagnosis, but you will easily spend that much, and more, if you try throwing parts at various systems.

Solved; You may have moister in your gas tank. Add Dry gas and fill up with super. It worked for my 2016 F-150, 5.0.

My 2000 F150 5.4 would occasionally stall at idle. I replaced several parts (idle air control, throttle position sensor, fuel filter, PVC. Also took it to the Ford dealer for a diagnostic test. Since this problem only happened intermittently they did not find anything wrong. I continued to stall usually after exiting the highway and coming to a stop, at idle. I took a chance on replacing the Vapor Canister Purge Valve. Motorcraft CX1597. It has been two weeks and no stalling.
