1989 ford f150

We changed the starter and starter solenoid on the
firewall and distributor and alternator and the
starter is still stuck when we connect the battery
cable can someone please help

As far as starter solenoid/relay. One of the smaller wires has to be feed from the crank position of ignition switch. If it is hot w/o the key, either the ignition switch/connector is faulty or that circuit is shorted to voltage, somewhere. You can use test light to check voltage on smaller wire. Just my opinion.
