Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 89 ford f150 xlt lariat. Has a
5.0 302 v8 efi motor. The other day i
was driving and my truck just died.
Wouldn't start up again. I got home
and turned the ignition to the
"On" position and no fuel pump
sound. So i jump the fuel pump from
my battery and it runs. But won't run
when not jumped. So I replace the fuel
pump relay and eec relay. Still
nothing. I checked the inertia switch
and its not tripped. Last thing I can
think of is something in the wiring.
Need some help.

been thru this same list of problems. found that ford used two different fuel pump relays, one 4 pin and a 5 pin. wont interchange.. low fuel pressure caused buy high pressure pump failure causes same problem. runs but dies. so check fuel pressure then make sure . mine needs 40 psi to run.
