Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight. Charge the battery or get a boost.

Charge battery. Replacing alternator will charge battery when is running but battery is probably dead due to the old alternator not charging.

Check to see if the alternator is working, it is possible it is not. If you have a digital multi-meter set it on DCV and check at the battery when the vehicle is running and see what the voltage is. You should be reading 13.7 to 14.5 DCV if it is charging. Also if you have a bad battery it may not be taking a charge. Should have the battery checked unless you know the battery is good.

Then you need to do some checking. Make sure the ground wire both ends are clean and tight, and the battery cables in good shape. Then you would need to check that there is power going threw the small wire on the starter solenoid when someone is turning the key. This energizes the solenoid for the starter to work.

If in parking, try in neutral position. If still nothing, check battery voltage, it should be minimum 12.4. Check the battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. If cables are ok, check voltage signal at the starter solenoid as you try to start it. If no voltage present at the solenoid small terminal, check the relay in fuse box
