I want to put a v6 in my ranger, but im not sure what motor will fit in my truck. Im looking for the latest motor possible.

I have a 2.3l 4 cylinder in her right now, with a cracked block and terrible gas
mileage.

Look for a similar year donor truck. You should be able to install a 2.9L, 3.0 or 4.0 six with a donor truck to source all the needed parts. I would stick with a push rod V6, the OHC sixes have some problems.
