I have a ford ranger 1987 2.9L when I press on the pedal it sputters and has no power I cleaned the throttle body it does a little better I changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires but I was wondering if any one would know what I could do to fix this problem?

I also put injecter cleaner in it. it seems like power comes back for a while but goes back to sputtering with harldy any power

1 more thing is that the temperature gauge barly goes above the cold mark iis that normal?

The tempreture,depend,s on the thermostat,if low temp 160,or high 180,this will determine the cooling,if you want more heat,change to a 180.
