I have a 1989 Ford Ranger 3.9 L V-6. The engine fires right up when cold. But when warm, it spins for several seconds before starting and I smell gasoline. Any idea what the problem is?

No, but that is exactly what mine was doing. I change plugs, and put new coils, and it does almost the same thing, except now it back fires before trying to run. I am waiting until next month, when I can buy a ECU, and see if that will make any difference. If it works, I will let you know around June 3rd, 2017
I change out the ECU computer, and now she is running like a new kitten. I hope this will help you.
