turn signal

i have a 1988 chevy s10 the left turn signal lights on the front don't work the
light is sold on the dash when the headlights are on i've replace the plugs and
put new bulbs in nothing happens i've also used a test light and there is power
but the bulbs won't burn

Note the diagram for turn signal, hopefully the diagram is correct. You have the turn fuse and the flasher, make sure they are good. The turn fuse should go hot with key on. See the purple wire from flasher to turn signal switch, probe that wire with test light, the other end of test light touches clean metal spot, for ground. Key on, the test light should flash, everything good up to that point. If not,There may be problem with flasher or fuse, maybe wiring circuit? good luck

Do the rear turn signals work? I should have asked that first. At the front, you need voltage and ground. Maybe the bulb socket has a problem? My diagnostics may be round about but i usually get there sooner or later. lol
