1988 s 10 3.8, shifts into all gears great, except it wont always shift into 5 th gear, and its getting worse?

You likely have a bad synchronizer or some other internal problem with the transmission. Being a 1988 (30 years old), it may be time for a rebuild.

Thanks alot, its just turned 177000, so it worn, i hoping otherwise...lol thanks again for the info
