Sat up for 6 years.Got started but having a few problems.

Asked by Emmett Nov 23, 2016 at 12:20 PM about the 1982 Chevrolet El Camino RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The problem I'm having now is that the choke won't work.Is this a normal
problem for a factory 2 bbl.?I seem to remember that in 1982 when we
bought the car we always had carb. problems.Should I put in a manual
choke?

A choke not working is not a big deal. You could buy a new electric choke or install a manual one. It is up to you.
