Flattened radiator hoses?

Asked by Emmett Jan 17, 2017 at 05:41 PM about the 1982 Chevrolet El Camino RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My last details sounded kind of stupid so I thought I'd try to explain
better. This El Camino sat up for yrs.I  started working on it three months
ago.Got it started pretty quick. One thing led to another and it started
leaking coolant.I pressurized the system,Freeze Plug.I replaced it ,it then
held pressure.I drove it around some, radiator developed leak, could not be
fixed,I replaced it.Might it be the thermestat?I did replace it ,but?What I
have not done is repressurize it,Head Gasket? Please say it ain't so.

Did you purge the cooling system from the air pockets when refilling it?
