Car starts, after I turn it off , it wont start back up. Whats causing that?

it must start again eventually? when you try to start it after shut down does it turn over or is everything dead? can you hear the fuel pump cycle? I will just throw this out there, I had a chevy lumina that did that, and it ended up being 3 bad injectors.
