geo tracker getting to much gas

Asked by joemoore472 Apr 25, 2016 at 07:57 PM about the 1995 Geo Tracker 2 Dr STD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 Geo tracker and its getting way to
much gas to the engine. I'm not mechanic but I've
been tinkering around and I can't find out what is
causing it. If you start it cold it starts right up but if
you drive it a while and turn it off then try to start it,
it floods really bad. Sometimes won't start at all
until it sits for a while. I bought it for a gas saver
but it burns way to much gas I'm getting like
10mpg. I was hoping someone has had a similar
experience. Thanks.

I have a 1993 geo tracker fuel injected and it had trouble starting after the initial start but I found a silver thing hanging when it should have been upright in its bracket on top of the EGR valve
