Geo Tracker Automatic Transmission

Will a 4 speed 1997 Automatic Transmission work in a 1991 Geo Tracker that
has a 3 speed.    Would really prefer the 4 speed.

I doubt it will work without the ECU from the newer car but then your engine is not compatible with the newer ECU.
