2003 ford tauras a/c compressor will not blow cold air

climate control blows hot air all the time and the a/c w/n engage with switch in
max a/c. However I can pull relay jump it and the compressor will run the
system has a full charge and the the lines get hot and cold as appropriate. the
vents still only blow hot air. the air blend door actuator is bad I believe but will
that cause the compressor not to engage
