Help!! While replacing my drivers side inner tie rod on my 2003 ford taurus, my friend also removed the vent tube and boot. We are not in a shop and are having an awful time reinstalling the vent tube. Does anyone know any tricks or an easy way for him and/or us to get this air tube back on--it's really tough with me feeding it through the drivers side by hand for him to grab it on his end. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Use a zip tie on the boot. Put the zip tie around the boot but don't tighten it. Push the boot onto the rack and then tighten the zip tie. Then put a zip tie on the outer part of the boot. These are only dust boots to keep out dirt. They don't have pressure on them. After you do this you can push the metal vent tube down in place.
