I cannot get the compressor on my 2003 ford taurus to come on unless I force the contacts together on the relay that sends the signal to it.

I cannot get the compressor to come on in my 2003 Ford Taurus unless I force the contacts together on the relay that sends the signal to it.

If there is no refrigerant in the system the compressor will not come on.

No refrigerant, if that is good then check and make sure power r is getting to the relay, if power is making it to the relay and not coming on, it may be a bad relay.
