Electric Motor Sound

So my Ford Taurus recently started sounded like it had an electric generator, like what a hybrid makes. But there is no electric motor in it, you'll here the engine, and on top of the engine sounding normal, you will hear what sounds like an electric motor kick on with it, or just after it.

The more I push the gas, the louder it sounds, I let up on the gas, it is less and less. I'm thinking maybe a fuel pump or something, but it's just weird, any thoughts?

a sound like that could be one of the pulleys on the serpentine belt. if a bearing is going out in something, it would make a sound like that and it would change with engine rpm. pull the belt and check all the pulleys/bearings, even the belt tensioner bearing.
