Question type: Maintenance & Repair
95 geo tracker 4cyl 16vlv 5speed 4x4, hesitating up hill,
lacks power to accelerate up hill... replaced complete
exhaust system from intake to back bumper (failed smog
so I knew it needed it changed), plugs wires cap/rotor,
belts, clutch plate kit, air filter, fuel filter, oil change and
filter, 2” suspension lift, 30” tires, still no change... what is
causing this issue

Thank you cutter timing is good, cleaned out MAS, and replaced fuel pump still same issue...
Cutter picture this, your in second gear and mistakenly shift to fourth instead of third, the car will studder and hesitate with a loss of forward momentum.. that is how my car is acting in first gear going up hill (under load) on a straight away she is fine, only under load does it do this
LILLDVL, did you ever find the solution to this problem?
Check timing belt. If it is stretched or jumped a tooth this will change your cam timing in relation to your crankshaft and will greatly reduce power. It will still run smooth but will have lack of power going up hills.

it is the catalytic converters, the three of them are clogged try varnish remover a gallon in gas drive high speed 65-70 for an hour might clean it out. Or get just new catalytics $500.00 not whole manifold assembly $1500.00, and fuel filter.
