Died while driving no restart

89 Pontiac sunbird, driving down road, when
all the sudden it just died, no restart, it
cranks but no go..I checked fuses inside of
car all good, I can hear the fule pump prime
when I put the the key in the on position

Does it sound funny when you crank it? Broken timing belts are common. Do this, check for spark remove one of the spark plug wires then insert a screwdriver into the boot and then hold the metal part of the screwdriver 1/2 in. away from a metal part of the block and have someone crank the engine while you look for spark. If there's no spark, remove the distributor cap and have someone crank the engine again while you watch to see if the rotor turns if no it's the timing belt. I hope this helps take care
