i have a `87 firebird that dies while running and sometimes when park for couple of hours also it would not start, please help i really like this car.

when's the last time you tuned the vehicle up it's kind of hard not knowing the history of the vehicle I don't know where to start I don't know what type of engine you have excetera you might try a tune up check your battery connections couldi be an MFI mass air flow sensor bad who knows kinda hard to tell from here give us more details?

I have 1987 firebird and it did the same thing. I had to replace the ICM and a new distributor cap. Worked great after replacement.
