why my 89 5.7 trans am will not idle?

car will start but wont idle, checked the vacume line, that i could see, i just dont know? 110 k miles exceiient condition

When a car won't idle, it's almost always a vacuum leak. There is a fuse that feeds the a/c compressor, that if it's blown, the car won't idle, but that's very rare. Take the car to someone who's more qualified than you are. He might find the vacuum leak.
