Car radio died; should I go to my mechanic or a car audio specialist?

Asked by Beckett248 Mar 18, 2022 at 10:05 PM about the 2003 Ford Taurus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The radio on my 2003 Ford Taurus SES went out this morning. Is it better to
take it to a car stereo vendor or to my regular auto shop? I am not in a position
to fix it myself.

check fuses first , If your mechanic is any kind of technician they should be able to do it . I would think you'll get an after market one with modern features .

I would have the circuits checked first, if those check good then have the unit replaced with an aftermarket unit.
