Fuel Pump

Asked by ShelbyDak1 Feb 10, 2019 at 09:11 PM about the 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fuel pump is not running, I have checked the relay and it does not seem to be
getting a signal when key is on. If I understand the wiring diagram, the relay is
triggered by the computer. Does this mean the computer is bad? 1989 Dodge
Dakota 5.2 liter

There are power feeds(fuses mainly) for that relay that u have to check, the computer also needs a good ignition input to wake up and ground that relay. Theres dozens of things that need to be verified before calling a computer
